Flood Risk Engineer- Newport (Home Working Available)
My Client, a market leading multidisciplinary Engineering Consultancy, which specialises in Flood Risk, Hydrology and Natural Flood Management, is searching for a Flood Risk Engineer to join their Civil Engineering Team based in South Wales.
This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join a friendly team of Engineers and Hydrologists to complete Flood Risk, River, Flood Defence and River Restoration Projects for local Authorities and Government Bodies.
As a Flood Risk Engineer you will required to complete technical work including;
-River Restoration and Natural Flood Risk Management design.
-Flood Alleviation Schemes and Flood Gate Design.
-Design and repair of Weirs, Walls, Culverts and Embankments.
-Design of River Works and Hydraulic Structures including Watercourse Diversions, Reinforced Concrete Design, Culverts and Repairs.
-Site visits if required by the Asset Management Team.
-Reservoir and Dam Projects across Wales.

It is essential that applicants have a strong BSc and MSc in Civil or Environmental Engineering and experience working for a UK based Consultancy completing Flood Risk Management Projects, Flood Alleviation Schemes and design of Embankments, Weirs and River Restoration Schemes using AutoCAD.
It is also beneficial for applicants to have experience working on Reservoir or Dam Projects.
This role can be based in numerous locations across the UK and can offer remote working up to three days a week.
