Finance Business Partner

Our market leading client are urgently seeking to secure the services of a Finance Business Partner to join them on a permanent basis – offering working from home flexibility.
As the Finance Business Partner, you will be part of the FP&A team. As part of the team, you will be tasked with creating a set of analytical tools to provide senior management with live insight into how the different areas of the business are performing allowing them to make more informed commercial decision with confidence. This isn’t just about writing reports; it is a focus on driving change, challenging our existing thinking, and making a tangible difference to the business.
Key responsibilities as the Finance Business Partner but not limited to:
* Focussed attention on both sales & margin analysis and cost structures – business partnering with the sales and marketing teams, and other cost centre owners in the business.
* Providing support to the teams through timely information, professional advice and interpretation of data to actively participate in decision making process.
* Analysis of the sales volume, price reviews, product costs and margins, review and analysis of the promotional and marketing spend, ensuring the funds are utilised in the most effective manner to maximise profit.
* Pulling together relevant KPI based analysis for the sales teams to provide adequate information to help them manage the business with as efficiently as possible.
* Heavy involvement in the process of budgeting and forecasting for the business – owning the models.
* Collaborating with the cost centre owners to close gaps in actual financial performances vs Budgets/Plans.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications required as the Finance Business Partner:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
* Proven track record working as a Finance Business Partner supporting commercial areas of the business
* Comfortable working with people at all levels in the organisation.
* Sharp business mind that can spot opportunities and recognise better ways of doing things.
* Able to connect thinking together – recognising interdependencies and inconsistencies.
* Very comfortable working with data.
* Ambitious and keen to make a real difference – not just coming up with ideas, but implementing them and seeing them through with teams across the business.
* Comfortable challenging embedded ways of working, helping people understand the opportunities and overcoming any resistance to build a better business
