Overview

The purpose of this role is to support the marketing of Fendercare and the implementation of its global business and brand strategy.  This includes assisting with all communication methods to increase sales, improve external and internal communications, and build brand awareness and loyalty.

Responsibilites

Assist with the creation and implementation of the company’s over-arching marketing strategy and its implementation
Liaise with teams throughout the company to ensure that all communications methods are up-to-date and provide compelling information that will aid sales and enhance the image of the company – as well as working with sales, marketing and bid teams to support strategic development and the production of high quality collateral and messaging. (This includes both on-line and off-line material)
Assisting in the management of the company’s existing website and the development of its new website in partnership with James Fisher’s central marketing team
Provide support to senior management in the presentation of the company through electronic media, such as PowerPoint – as well as helping to develop the company’s internal communications systems and e-communications in general
Project manage individual campaigns and literature
Help to develop e-shot campaigns for specific product types and services
Assist in the development of PPC campaigns and on-line and off-line advertising
Help to develop e-training for the company’s staff internationally
Assist in the company’s programme of social media messages, especially LinkedIn
Collating, analysing and presenting internal data (sales, financial) and external data (market, competitive) to enable the business to make informed decisions on strategic direction, sales strategies, new product development / R&D, pricing, marketing and routes to market
Working in partnership with the Global Marketing Manager and the team’s Data Analyst, to present customer, competitor and geographic markets intelligence in electronic form/presentations as required
Undertake customer needs analysis, and develop the customer feedback process
Help to monitor and develop a clear method of reporting on marketing investment and expenditure throughout the group globally
Building lasting relationships internally and externally to gather intelligence
Carry out any other appropriate duties in support of the Global Marketing Manager and the promotion of Fendercare Marine

Skills/Qualifications/Experience

Degree-qualified in a relevant subject beneficial (e.g. marketing, design, communications, business)
Relevant experience in B2B marketing and advertising
Knowledge and experience of the relevant markets within which Fendercare operates (principally offshore and commercial marine within the oil and gas industry, as well as renewables) would be highly advantageous.
Good knowledge of all contemporary marketing methods and social media.
First class verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Ability to think strategically and analyze detail, while also seeing the big picture
Proven experience and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM systems.
A good knowledge and application of market data tools, news and company data sources and research techniques.
Good visual sense – able to select and apply images interestingly and intelligently
Experience of the application of corporate identity and the development of brands and product branding
Copywriting and report writing skills would be an advantage
Organised and pro-active, determined to add value and able to balance competing demands on time and respond positively in a fast-paced and evolving environment
Degree-qualified in a relevant subject (e.g. marketing, design, communications, business)
Experience in B2B marketing and advertising – relevant experience may negate the need for a degree, in exceptional cases.
