Factory Area Engineer

Looking for something a bit different from the normal engineering role? Wanting to finally get off shift? If so, and you are passionate about improvements, reliability and have a keen eye for making things generally, better. Then this could be of interest.

The role of Factory Area Engineer is a really interesting one, you’ll be supporting and working with the Manufacturing Manager as well as Chief Engineer. The position will largely be around making improvements both to performance & reliability. If you have a strong interest CI, process improvement, cost reduction and capacity improvement this could be a great opportunity, in a newly created position for the company.

You will be able to gather information and data for the purpose of compiling cost proposals to implement relevant improvements. Along with the technical skills, you will also need to have the personality to influence drive change both with engineering & production.

Experience needs:

* A Strong engineering background – Food or FMCG

* Good understanding of process control systems

* Experience preparing CAPEX proposals

* Raising quotations

* Provide PPM plans

* Fault finding & diagnostic problem solving

* An understanding of PLC’s
