From best before dates on eggs, to serialised identifying codes on medicines, to batch codes on electronic components, to competition codes in confectionery, Domino helps to enable product safety, improved supply chain management, and brand protection. About the role We’re looking to hire an Engineering Manager to join our Operations team, leading the engineering delivery strategy of our UK Fluids Plant in Liverpool. In this role the Engineering Manager will provide effective leadership for a multi-functional team providing optimised maintenance solutions as well as delivering capital and OPEX projects to sustain efficient, reliable, and compliant assets within our Fluids Plant. Additional accountabilities include: Shaping, implementing, and managing the maintenance and capital expenditure of capital budgets for the plant to achieve business targets including supplier optimisation. Safeguard the safety and effectiveness of processes and equipment, enhancing service cost and quality. Compliance against all relevant legislative and company requirements. Effective team management and development, offering transparency and clear communication to drive performance. Domino is investing in a continuous improvement culture, adopting Lean practices. You can expect to be part of a team solving complex problems, whether that’s with our mechanical manufacturing equipment or justifying and implementing capital projects. Due to the nature of this role the successful candidate will need Aviation Security Clearance. Therefore, Aviation Background checks as specified by the Civil Aviation Authority including a DBS check and 5 years’ employment/educational references – will need to be completed before the successful candidate can start the role.About you Fundamental to this role is leadership and engineering expertise. This position would suit someone who’s experienced in managing engineering functions within a high volume, fast paced, hazardous batch manufacturing environment. Strong people management skills with the ability to lead a cross functional and multiskilled engineering team is crucial to the success of this role. Collaborative and energetic, you will be equally effective in people management as you are with process capability techniques and analysis.
