Embedded Software Engineer
We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join an Automotive Research company who specialise in developing Green and Sustainable Technology. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated industry experience with Embedded C or C++ programming.
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the successful candidate will be responsible for completing exciting greenfield projects developing cutting edge devices, working within a multidisciplinary team to push the boundaries of research and development whilst contributing ideas for continuous growth. You will be joining them at their brand-new state of the art offices in Nottingham.
The role:
- Developing bespoke high-performance solutions to ensure that the Automotive Sector is Carbon neutral by 2030.
- Highly involved in the full development lifecycle with a multidisciplinary tech team.
- Embedding software on smart devices
- Developing embedded applications
- Joining a multidisciplinary of 10 engineers, collaborating in team meetings and projects regularly
The tech stack:
- 2+ years’ experience with Embedded C or C++
- 32Bit Processors
- Linux
- Visual Studio or VS Code (Desirable)
- ESP32 (Desraible)
- RTOS (Desirable)
- CANbus or MODbus (Desirable)
- Good working knowledge of Automotive technologies will be a huge bonus but is not essential

This position is based in Nottingham, full-time in the office.
The salary is up to £55K but potentially more for the right person!
