Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced customer services officer to join a thriving team for a well established housing provider based in Birmingham.

Working in the contact centre, you will be taking inbound calls from tenants and customers and dealing with a variety questions and queries relating to housing, benefits and other general advice for tenants.

Key skills needed for this role are:

– Strong communications skills
– Ability to respond promptly and efficiently to customer/tenant enquiries
– Experience in working within a contact centre environment
– Housing sector knowledge (not essential but highly desirable)
– Knowledge of benefits and entitlement legislation

You will be working on a shift rota basis and therefore should be willing to work flexible hours. Shifts will be rotated based on full time hours per week between 8am and 6pm.

Shift Patterns:

Shifts: You will be given your allocated shifts 2 weeks in advance. All shifts are worked between the hours of 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday

There is no option to pick your shifts and the role requires your commitment to be available to work during the full range of opening hours. You must be able to commit to the 4 weeks training before you are able to fully join the Customer Care team.

I will need references covering last 2 years and a basic DBS check. Without this, the client is unable to offer a date to interview or to start.

This role is ideal for candidates with strong customer service skills and good
knowledge of benefits and housing sector.

You will also hold a basic DBS check due to the nature of the enquiries and dealing with sensitive and confidential information.

This is a temporary role and initially will be for 3 months with a view to become permanent depending on performance. It i highly desirable that you are a car driver due to the location of the contact centre, they do have parking facilities available.
