Dedicated Crime Duty Solicitor with at least 1 year’s experience sought for a thriving practice in Somerset.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven Crime Duty Solicitor to join our client’s bespoke firm in Taunton. The successful applicant will utilise their skills and expertise to provide high quality advice and representation to clients from initial arrest up to trial.

To put you forward for this position, we require your ideal salary and location and notice period.

Responsibilities

Conducting advocacy in the Magistrates Court
Managing own caseload of criminal defence cases
Representing clients detained at the police station
Serious and complex crime
Drug offences
Fraud
Sexual offences
Preparing Crown Court cases for trial
 The Candidate

Qualified solicitors with at least one year’s PQE
Solid experience in criminal defence matters is essential
Attainment of crime duty accreditation is required
Excellent communication and client care skills
Works well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
Is confident when conducting advocacyThe Firm
