Berry Recruitment are currently recruiting for Driver Technicians for a health care company in Northampton.
We have availability for permanent staff for this driver technician role and also fixed term 6 month contracts.
For this Driver Technician role you will be responsible for carrying out the deliveries, collections, repairs, servicing and testing of community equipment.
Deliveries – To undertake pre-delivery inspection of all products and undertake the delivery and handover of community equipment to a service user at their home and/or other locations, as required.
Collections – Responsible for the collection of community equipment, and on return to the service centre, must be scanned to the quarantine area.
Repairs – Responsible for carrying out repairs when required to do so. If unable to repair, the product has to be swapped.
Installation – Responsible for carrying out installation of equipment. The Bosch pipe detector that you have been trained to use must be used in all instances when fixing products.
Emergency out-of-hours – When on call rota, responsible for responding to the 24/7 call centre to undertake an emergency repair or delivery.
Vans – Responsible for your vehicle. Must ensure that regular maintenance checks are carried out. Responsible for the cleanliness of both the inside and outside of the van. Responsible for logging mileage travelled each week, and you are aware that your vehicle has a tracker fitted that monitors speed, fuel consumption, braking, idling and where the vehicle is and has been.
Tooling – Responsible for your tools. You must take responsibility for any tools lost or damage. Any problems must be reported to the service centre supervisor.
Administration – You must use your scanner for every movement of product, whether delivery/collection, repair or exchange. Also, you are responsible
for obtaining all signatures on the documentation issued to you for this purpose.
Excellent communication skills are required to interact with internal staff, prescribers and service users.
Good DIY skills.
Knowledge: Practical skills preferred and mechanical aptitude an advantage.
The hours for this Driver Technician role are
