Design Coordinator

Exeter

We are seeking a Design Co-ordinator for a unique development company, delivering quality residential properties, built on an award-winning model for a select client base.

As a Design Co-ordinator you will be responsible for the construction phase detailed design on new build units, in the first instance multi storey apartment blocks.

The role will be predominantly site based initially in Exeter with sites potentially further afield thereafter.

The role will involve design development, document control, compliance checking, client liaison and consultant/sub-contractor management under regular supervision and support from the Lead Technical Manager.

The role:

  • Single point of contact for all design-related issues.
  • Manage/monitor the internal document management system.
  • Chair/minute regular design team meetings
  • Attend client progress meetings
  • Manage/monitor design development progress against programme
  • Manage /monitor site-related queries
  • Carry out regular design reviews
  • Assist in the commercial and technical review of subcontractor tender returns & associated design interfaces.
  • Ensure all site-based changes to detailed design are incorporated within as-built documentation.
