You have proven experience of assisting service users within a supported housing environment and a good understanding of health and social care management. All you need is the perfect environment to put your skills to great use. Welcome to Richmond Fellowship as a Deputy Manager.
Richmond Fellowship is part of Recovery Focus, a national group of charities highly experienced in providing specialist support services to individuals and families living with the effects of mental ill health, drug and alcohol use, gambling and domestic violence. We know that recovery can look and feel very different to each and every one of us. But we also know that if we provide the right support, at the right time, we can inspire recovery nationwide and that recovery is possible for everyone.
Our service in Islington, St George’s, is looking for someone like you to join the team. Your challenge will be to assist with the day‐to‐day management of the service contract and support those that use our services. You’ll also be responsible for helping to manage our staff resources, manage a case load, including inducting new members, managing the daily Rota and ensuring team development plans are in place. And, when it comes to seeing that data is entered correctly onto our system, helping to prepare management information or deputising for the Service Manager, again, we’ll count on you.
To take on this challenging front line management role you’ll need proven relevant experience of leading, supervising and inspiring staff, using a firm but inclusive management style. You will also have proven experience within a Housing or Social Care background. You are caring and considerate, with a real passion for supporting people who use our services. You’ll also need the ability to prioritise a busy workload and manage conflicting priorities, coupled with sound judgment and flair for delegating work appropriately. Good investigation and negotiation skills are also required, as is tact and diplomacy. Self‐motivated, flexible about working hours and able to engage effectively at all levels, you’re outcome solution and task focused and happy to participate in on call arrangements.
We are committed to increasing our diversity and we would welcome applications from those with lived experience and/or who are from a BAME background.
This is a permanent part-time role requiring the post holder to work 30 hours per week.
