Your new role

Your role as the Deputy Manager will be to ensure that the service is always being run to the highest possible standards and that this is reflected in the level of care provided by your team on a day to day basis.

You will be expected to conduct risk assessments, create care plans and manage members of the team, as well as assisting the registered manager in any duties that are delegated. From a client perspective, you will be expected to be the face of the organisation and be able to create, maintain and grow working relationships with both clients and their families.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in this role, you must have experience in working at a managerial level for at least 2 years and have past experience working within an elderly setting. Having a keen ability to lead is vital within this role as members of your team may look to you for guidance in certain situations, therefore you must hold a level 5 in leadership and management.

You must be confident with all areas of CQC legislation and safeguarding, as it will be your responsibility to make sure that these standards are being met throughout the organisation on a daily basis. Furthermore, you will be expected to quickly identify issues and potential needs for development and improvement, if there are any.

What you'll get in return

The successful candidate will receive £26,000 – £30,000 depending on their experience, along with private healthcare and a bonus. This is a fantastic opportunity for a deputy manager that is looking to progress within their social care career, with the potential to move into a registered managers position in the next few years.
