Customer Services Advisor


37.5 hours per week

Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm

On Behalf of our client- a leading insurance and financial services company based in Bury St Edmunds, we are searching for a Customer Service advisor to join their friendly and supportive team. The successful candidate will have had some previous experience within an insurance environment, have high attention to detail and have excellent telephone manner and communication skills. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in the success of an expanding local business and full company training will be provided.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Provide administrative support; handling enquiries, processing and dispatching renewal documentation to company standards.
Develop and maintain effective and positive working relationships with customers, the Agency team and colleagues.
Review and advise customers on general insurance requirements.
Implement money collection from customers ensuring you meet and comply with company financial requirements and credit control policies.
Identify and initiate cross-selling opportunities and activities to new and existing customers.
Acquire and maintain knowledge of company insurance products, product licenses and responsibilities of your role.
Key Skills:

Able to problem solve and use own initiative and judgement
Experience with sales desirable
Basic knowledge of insurance
Excellent customer service and communication skills, verbal and written
Demonstrate abilities of honesty, integrity, due skill, care and diligence
