A growing family-led business is looking for a Construction Administrator to join its team which is building a solid reputation within its specialist sectors of Healthcare, Education, Leisure and Law Enforcement. As well as administration this is also a trainee buyer role, ideal for someone with lots of enthusiasm for starting a career in the construction industry. In addition to on-site training, the company also provides team lunches and free parking.
As a Construction Administrator your responsibilities will include:
Purchasing materials and services across the company.
Plant hire management on sites.
Sub-contractor RAMS management.
Sub-contractor insurance management.
Compilation and submission of operations and maintenance files.
Cost management/supplier negotiations.
Answering the phones and being the 1st point of calls.
Taking responsibility for cost savings where possible.
General office administration duties.
We are looking for a Construction Administrator who has the following skills and experiences:
Previous construction experience or to have recently completed a degree in construction or have buying experience within any sector.
A high level of organisation.
Excellent ICT skills particularly in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Excellent telephone manner and outstanding people skills.
In return, the Administrator will receive a salary of £20,000 – £25,000 per annum.
