Care Home Manager

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Home Manager to join a small elderly residential home located near Rushden. This is an excellent opportunity to join an award winning elderly care charity with a beautiful portfolio of friendly care homes providing high standards of care including specialist dementia care.

We are keen to speak to Home Managers or very experienced Deputy Managers ready for the step up. As the Home Manager, registered with CQC, you will take overall charge of the day to day running of the home, motivating and leading staff in providing the best, highest quality care to their residents.

Other duties include:

Recruit, appoint and deploy all staff within the home
Ensure that a structured and documented induction, training and supervision programme is in place for all staff
Monitor the health and general welfare of residents and where necessary arrange for
medical attention
Ensure the home is compliant with all standards and legislation, and that outcomes are Good/Outstanding, liaise with and co-operate with CQC inspectors and inspections
Ensure good methods of communication and working relationships are established and maintained throughout the home
Run the Home in the most cost effective way, manage petty cash and participate in the preparation of the homes budget

To apply for this position you must have / be:

L5, RMA or equivalent qualification
Registered Manager experience or Deputy Manager for a significant amount of time in a Good or Outstanding service
Knowledge of CQC and local authority requirements
Strong commercial business awareness with P+L accountability
In depth understanding of the needs of older people and people living with dementia


£45,000 – £50,000pa neg DOSE
Core working hours Mon-Fri (flexible approach to working hours is required)
33 days annual leave (incl bank holidays)
