Residential BUYERYour role will be integral to our team. Your main duties will involve:* Adhering to established buying processes, policies, and frameworks set by the Group Buying Manager.* Procuring standard and bespoke goods and materials efficiently and cost-effectively.* Managing the procurement of hired-in plant and equipment, along with skip and waste management services.* Coordinating and overseeing plant, including handling repairs and purchases.* Efficiently deploying plant resources and managing the re-use of second-hand materials.* Communicating with and managing existing supply chain partners, negotiating rebates, and establishing credit accounts.* Identifying and communicating opportunities for new supply chain partners.* Providing cover within the team during absences or holidays.* Reconciling Visa/Mastercard receipts, evaluating spend, and establishing credit accounts where possible.* Assisting in stock control and purchasing processes for company-wide clothing and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).* Generating and analyzing buying statistics.* Following a material schedule when necessary.* Serving as the primary contact for departmental queries both internally and externally.* Creating Purchase Orders in Evo M, handling invoice queries, and following up on orders as needed.Qualifications:To succeed in this role, you should have:* Previous experience in buying processes and negotiation.* Experience managing a high volume of orders across various products, supporting an average of 45 live sites.* Familiarity with construction materials and plant equipment (preferred).* Proficiency in EVO M or similar buying/accounts systems.* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.* Organizational skills, ability to prioritize, make decisions, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.* Teamwork skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.* IT literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and a good grasp of Microsoft Excel.* Strong numeracy and literacy skills.* High motivation with a proactive approach to personal learning and development.* Effective communication with key stakeholders and internal departments.* Problem-solving and negotiation skills.Hours and Benefits:39 hours per weekWorking hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 17:00, Friday 08:00 to 16:00, with a 1-hour unpaid break each day22 Days Holiday, plus Bank HolidaysUK Healthcare Cash Plan5 Days Company Sick PayStandard Workplace Pension
