Business Manager Holywood Flexible working Up to £38,000 per annum Hays Accountancy and Finance are working in partnership with a charity organisation for the appointment of an Assistant Director of Finance, offering a flexible working patterns including a 4-day week, and a salary of up to £38,000. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting and/or business management, a proven record of excellent financial literacy and leadership skills, and the business acumen to support a dynamic and growing organisation. Your new role Advise the Board of Trustees on general financial policy. Responsibility for the processing and preparation of the monthly management accounts. Develop and maintain a comprehensive monthly pack for Trustees on budgets and non-financial key performance indicators Maintain a culture of strong financial control including regular credit control. Identify and prepare financial appraisals of value for money initiatives, including procurement, efficient use of resources and improved productivity of support services. Provide all required information and documentation for external Auditors and ensure the completion of Audit on a timely basis. Manage the reconciliation and payment of all supplier invoices Undertake the regular reconciliation of key ledger accounts Administer the processing and payment of salaries, statutory payments and the administration of pension schemes for all staff. Liaise with HR and legal advisers in matters of employment law and ensure compliance with all relevant aspects of relevant legislation, including employment protection, equal pay, minimum wage, working time directive and legislation on discrimination. Ensure compliance with all data protection requirements. Oversee the installation and maintenance of a new digital framework. Oversee maintenance and cleaning of buildings and grounds and keeping of relevant records. What you’ll need to succeed At least four years’ experience in a senior financial and general business management role. Experience in the preparation of monthly management accounts, on an accruals basis. Strong ICT skills, including advanced excel skills and able to demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of SAGE & Sage Payroll.
