Business Development Manager – IndustrialJOB TITLE: Industrial – Business Development ManagerDEPARTMENT: Sales & CommercialREPORTS TO: Commercial Sales ManagerLOCATION: Ideally Western England and Wales (flexible for the right candidate)START: ASAPSALARY: £50,000 GROSS PA + £5000 signing on bonus, Quartey targets and bonusses, ALL expenses covered, Company vehicle given or Cash sum. JOB PURPOSEThe Business Development Manager will take responsibility for the development of new and existing opportunities/sales in the Industrial Sectors of iDESo, promoting the range of products and services across Western England and Wales.PROFESSIONAL QUALITIESPrinciplesUpholds the company core values.Promotes and encourages a positive workplace culture and quality work ethic.Support the Company in all Health & Safety matters, Risk assessments and Safe systems of work.TeamworkParticipates positively in team meetings and briefsSupports and solicits input from team members at all levels within the organisationDevelopmentParticipates in HR programs and supports company policiesHelp support trainees and apprentices where applicableInternal OperationsEnforces policies and procedures as per our commitment to Health & Safety, Quality & Environmental standardsCarry out other reasonable duties as requested.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReporting to the Commercial Sales Manager, the main responsibilities of the Business Development Manager include:Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs and able to respond effectively with a solution.Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition statusGenerate leads and cold call prospective customers.Have a solid understanding of electrical Switchgear MV Distribution and Motor Starting systems.Develop a good understanding of the businesses’ products or services and be able to advise others about themWork closely with Bid team to produce technically and commercially compliant bids to a very high quality.Nurture Customer relationship from initial enquiry through to delivery to stimulate repeat business.Discuss and direct promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department.Attend seminars, conferences, and events where appropriateESSENTIAL QUALIFICIATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGEProven experience in a similar roleExperience of Electrical design or Sales of MV switchgear into the Industrial Sectors.Knowledge of Water, Generation, Aggregates, Metals, Ports and Energy Sectors.Proficient in using IT systems, including Microsoft OfficeHigh attention to detail with strong organisational skillsSelf-motivated target driven personDESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS, EXPEREINCE AND KNOWLEDGEQualified to HNC/D Level in Electrical Engineering or similar.BS/MS degree in business administration or a related field.Services advertised by Gold Group are those of an Agency and/or an Employment Business.We will contact you within the next 14 days if you are selected for interview.
