Business Development Director

This organisation is a world leader in it's field of specialisation and is now looking for a Business Development Director (Client Director) to work with their clients to develop customised programmes for a diverse range of companies, from all sectors – financial services to not-for-profit. Calling on a world-class Faculty that boasts 16 Research Centres, they deliver focused and intensive development programmes with impact for their clients and occupy a differentiated position in this growing International market.

They now need to appoint a Business Development Director to work with them to expand their portfolio of custom programmes globally, building growth for their portfolio of custom clients and corporate alliances in line with the strategic plan for the business. The Business Development Director will have a focus on the identification of new market opportunities, developing and presenting proposals, closing sales and maintaining financial oversight of won business.

The ideal candidate will have a background in goal-oriented sales and demonstrable experience of consultative selling and significant experience of working directly with clients in a global context. Knowledge of working in the Middle East and experience of the public sector would be an advantage. With a good degree, suitable Business Development Directors should have a developed and sophisticated understanding of business planning, cross cultural sensitivity, and the ability to adapt quickly and flexibly to changing situations.

This is a full-time role that will involve International travel and they welcome applicants looking to work flexibly with a blended structure of office-based and home working.
