Business Development and Sales Team Lead

HB Commercial are delighted to be working in partnership and exclusive with one of the UK's fastest-growing professional membership bodies .
This newly created position offers autonomy and the opportunity to drive sales throughout the business by mentoring and managing an ambitious team.
Due to my clients' significant growth plans, you will also be instantly given the task to help lead and recruit additional team members.

Responsibilities but not limited to

·Setting targets & objectives, completing 1-2-1's, objective and probation meetings for your team.
·Ensuring the team sells ethically and in line with the law . Ensuring quality of delivery of the sales function and the products/services sold are fed back to the various departments.
·To achieve agreed sales targets and KPI's within your team.
·Day to day management of the team, including weekly rota to deliver against contracts and within agreed SLAs.
·Collating any issues within your team and troubleshooting when issues arise.
·Managing internal processes, including use of the CRM, commercial, sales and debtor reports.
·Supporting each team member to form a sustainable sales pipeline through data, territory, and sector management.
·To work closely with the Commercial Director to ensure target markets are contacted and followed to a successful conclusion.
·Coaching and mentoring sales team members
·Working closely with the Commercial Director and Senior Stakeholders to support bid applications for key project areas, within assigned regions or markets.
·Attending and coordinating the sales functionality at exhibitions and events to gain new prospect customer data and sales.
·Ensuring that all sales administration across the team is kept up to date, including logging all communications on the CRM system.

The ideal candidate will hold the below competencies

·A minimum of 5 years b2b sales experience, ideally handling both inbound and outbound sales traffic, ideally in non-tangible sales.
·A proven track record of success in exceeding sales targets and winning new business.
·Supervisory line management experience
·Excellent customer service skills.
·Competence in using basic Microsoft Office packages i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
·Ability to compose and develop sales proposals and initiate contact through agreed
·Strong level of spelling and grammar.

Desirable

·Experience in selling memberships, events and learning products.
·Working in a membership, institute or trade body organisation
