Salary – Dependant on experience

Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours per week

Our Daventry client is looking for a 'Bookkeeper' in the Daventry area to join their small but busy team.

Main 'Bookkeeper' Responsibilities:

Posting sales receipts to ledgers, both market finance and credit card
Reconciliation of Sage ledger
Credit control – monitoring credit limits and chasing debts
Setting up new customer accounts in Sage
Checking and posting of purchase invoices into Sage
Maintaining purchase ledger and ordering and sourcing of supplies
Preparing monthly BACS payments
Negotiating new contracts for suppliers and lease equipment
Posting purchase payments
Checking credit card expenses and posting to Sage
Petty Cash
Maintaining fixed asset register and calculating depreciation
Monthly bank reconciliation of all bank accounts
Monthly accruals and prepayments and posting journals
Preparing monthly management accounts and reporting to Head Office
Preparing payroll information for external agency
Quarterly VAT returns
Monthly Intrastat returns
Preparing Yearly financial budgets
Preparing accounts for yearly audit – preparing bad debt provision, stock write down and other provisions as necessary
Recording of stock arrivals onto Sage
Maintain just in time stock levels
Monthly sales commissions
Filing and archiving of documents
The Successful Applicant:

Have previous experience in a similar role
Have a good understanding of Sage
Be able to prioritise workload
Work well under pressure
