Automotive Build Technician Low Volume Classic vehicles

In Recruitment you occasionally get a vacancy where you wish you could start your career again or have gone down a different career path.

This is one of those occasions.

Do you work in the very low volume automotive manufacturing industry?

When I say low volume manufacturing – I mean – REALLY low volume manufacturing – this is working on the restoration of classic vehicles (think classic Porsche’s)

The company are highly professional – excellently organised – working in new, clean and specialised facilities.

The company are looking for skilled automotive engineers – engineers who have restored classic vehicles (as a job – not as a hobby!)

Example

* Take a 30 year old classic Porsche 964 from a “donor”.

* Then strip it down to the shell.

* And then re-build it to an amazingly high standard.

This is working to tight deadlines – you will need an excellent attention to detail.

The company are looking for x 4 Build Technicians for their site in Woodford Halse which is about 6 miles south of Daventry and 12 miles north of Banbury.

They are looking for fully qualified automotive engineers with extensive knowledge of vehicle construction and function.

The role requires excellent knowledge of Chassis, Suspension, Brake and Powertrain systems.

Proven experience with Diagnostic software preferable.

Interior trim build with a keen eye for attention and detail would also be advantageous but not essential…. If you have worked with interior trim for this type of work get in touch anyway.

You will need to be able to work diligently with minimum supervision to an extremely high standard and should be able to use your own initiative where necessary, but also as part of an amazing team of automotive specialist engineers (currently, they have Build Technicians that come from JLR, Ex Red Bull, F1 race Technicians etc.)

Salary £40,000 – £41,000

Permanent position

They are looking to recruit fully qualified and experienced motor vehicle or race technicians.

They have a 3-stage station and stage build process that consists of:

Stage One: HVAC / Oil / Brakes etc.

Stage Two: Gears / Suspension / Lights

Stage Three: Bonet / Doors / Body Exterior

Hours are Monday to Friday (07:30 AM to 16:15 PM) – they have an unofficial early finish on a Friday, usually 15:15 PM.

Overtime is available during the week and on weekends.

Location: Woodford Halse

If interested get in touch today – I would apply myself if I had the skills!
