Position Overview
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and talented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our client, a reputable house builder based in South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity to work on projects located in Monmouth and Hereford. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Quantity Surveying team throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Description
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with specifications
- Collaborate with project managers and contractors to resolve any cost-related issues
- Prepare and submit progress reports to senior management
- Assist in the negotiation of contracts and agreements
Key Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the house building industry
- Knowledge of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) would be beneficial
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
