They operate strictly Monday to Saturday (closed Sundays and Bank Holidays)  .Daily staff meetings ensure rapport and a social working atmosphere

The Role

The principal aspects of the role are:

The role is to assist the Practice Manager in taking overall day-to-day responsibility for the management of the practice.  This requires the management of a team that provides a consistently excellent standard of customer service, as well as the delivery of first class dispensing services.

Key elements of the role would be

Assisting the manager in the day to day running of the team
The ability to interpret optical prescriptions
give advice to patients on lens type, frames and styling;
fit contact lenses and give advice on their care and use;
take frame and facial measurements to ensure correct fit and positioning;
advise patients when adjustments or repairs to spectacles are needed;
check lenses on delivery to ensure that they meet the required specifications;
work collaboratively with team members and management colleagues in order to meet the objectives of the business;
maximise sales whilst minimising costs to ensure the achievement of specified margins and targets.

Essential Requirements

Relevant knowledge and experience in a similar role
The ability to work efficiently in a team environment
Commercially aware
Customer facing and team management
