Assembly Operative  – Tunstall

We are recruiting Assembly Operatives to join our Team based in West Yorkshire. These are permanent positions.

What will you be doing in this role?

Building the full range of products within agreed timescales and ensure the highest level of quality standards throughout the production process.

The Ideal candidate:

You will be organised with great attention to detail and are able to read and interpret assembly method/engineering drawings.

You will also be an effective communicator, a team player and able to meet tight deadlines.

Key skills and experience:
Excellent manual dexterity

Able to read, learn and interpret assembly methods and drawings
Good organisational skills with an ability to work within and develop systems of working
Ability to work well in a team
Comfortable at working to tight timescales
Attention to detail
IT literate
Comply with Health & Safety regulations.
Experience of working with KPI’s, performance measures;
Communication skills written and verbal
Flexible to work overtime
Ability to lift up to 25 kg
Any previous manufacturing assembly experience would be ideal, but is not essential

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
To assemble the constituent parts of the products from PCB sub assembly level through to finished units, following Company engineering methods and drawings.
To understand and build to schedules, using appropriate test equipment, where required;
To highlight any specification or design error through the Team Leader or Departmental Manager or directly with the Production Engineering team;
To raise with the Team Leader any non-conformance i.e. Defective and Redundant Material, in compliance with the Company Quality System requirements and Departmental guidelines.
To establish effective working relations with all departments, to ensure maximum co-operation for the timely resolution of assembly related issues;
To provide assistance and support to other Assembly staff when requested, to complete specific activities;

To understand and follow all Manufacturing Department administrative procedures and maintain records via the systems provided;
