SEN Teacher
LT Support is working with a creative and unique residential school for children between the ages of 5 & 19 who are seeking a qualified SEN Teacher to join them for the rest of the school year.
The school is situated in 13 acres of parkland just a few hundred metres from the sandy beaches of Broadstairs. They seek to meet the needs of children and young people with autism and severe learning difficulties with associated behaviours that may be challenging. The school have achieved national recognition for their developments in Communication and Behaviour Management.
For this post we are looking for candidates who are mature, warm, creative and open to learning with a patient and caring attitude to deal sensitively with vulnerable children.
Using your experience of working with children and young people with Additional Educational Needs and Challenging Behaviour, you will work alongside colleagues to support a group of students in a classroom setting. Directing education support staff you will work as part of the class team to implement all aspects of the students' educational programme and will play an important role in safeguarding the students' health and safety.
Awareness of the needs of, and experience of working with children and young people with Learning Difficulties, Autism and Challenging Behaviour will be a distinct advantage.
Applicants will be required to meet the following criteria:
– Qualified Teaching Status
– Experience working with/ Teaching SEN Students
– Full time availability
– Enhanced DBS
