Aftercare/Defects Manager

I am currently representing an excellent main contractor with a turnover of circa £400m per annum. They have a very strong work pipeline and are a specialist in projects across the Industrial, Commercial and Retail sectors.

My client is seeking to recruit an Aftercare Manager to work across multiple schemes within the business primarily Essex, Herts, Beds. As an Aftercare Manager, you will be required to manage all project related defects/issues through to resolution and build strong relationships with both clients and sub-contractors.

Key Duties

* Support the client and project teams through the defect/aftercare period ensuring a swift and fair resolution as per budget.

* Provide effective and skilled resource to manage and resolve customer issues in a timely manner

* Ensure sub-contractors are held responsible for the costs associated with defects and records are in place and communicated to the project QS

* Ensure Project Managers and Construction Managers are aware of all defects and utilised to close out any major defects

* Ensure personal and team compliance with all relevant policies and procedures including Health, Safety and Environmental best practice

* Arrange the inspection and rectification of remedial works and where necessary to agree warranty issues within set KPIs

* Maintain records of works completed

* Liaise with the Commercial/Buying departments to order materials in accordance with arrangements made for defect resolution.
