We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Accounts Assistant to join our team in Edinburgh, Scotland. As an integral part of our finance department, you will play a key role in supporting our financial operations and ensuring smooth day-to-day transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Reconciling bank statements and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assisting with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
- Liaising with internal teams and external vendors to resolve any financial queries.
- Contributing to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance department.
- Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn and adapt.
